Enhanced chemiluminescence immunoassay ("ECLIA") is an in-vitro diagnostics ("IVD") test that is performed on samples of blood, urine, saliva or other body fluids for the diagnosis and analysis of various diseases and disorders. It is an advanced luminescence (or light)-based technology for detecting and quantifying a specific antigen or antibody in a sample using an immunological reaction. Its principle is to apply luminescence to magnify the signal and directly determine the immunobinding in-vitro by its luminous intensity.
